PROTOEV ADVANCED CLASS SCHEDULE
Duration: 4-month programme for students 11-19 years. January – May 2024
Activities: A programme of kart building workshops will be delivered once a week for 12 weeks, leading up to 2 x test days and the race final in mid-May
Who Can Apply: Schools, Colleges and Youth Clubs in target locations.
Locations: Greater Manchester, London, and Birmingham
Learning: Materials include training webinars, build manual & lesson plans
Cost: £5k per team + teams must raise an additional £5k through sponsorship

Through being hands on, team members will develop a basic understanding of electric vehicles, practical engineering and problem-solving skills that are needed to deliver continuous performance improvement. Young people will also learn how to collect and analyse data using their smartphones, as budgeting and social media marketing.
Teams also get the opportunity to work alongside companies innovating in this space. Each team gets to work with a nominated business partner to ensure real-world knowledge/skills transfer, career understanding and contribute to the end of project celebration event. Teams are also required to engage their local community to raise sponsorship.
ProtoEV track events are run under a Motor Sports Association (MSA) permit, comply with all health and safety regulations, and are fully insured with Personal Accident and Public Liability insurance. Our partners include sport for development charity, Sported which has 3000+ member organisations throughout the UK.
