THE BLAIR PROJECT LOOKING FOR THE ‘X FACTOR’ IN MOTOR RACING YOUTH COMPETITION

The Blair Project has launched a new competition to give three lucky racers a chance to win a fully funded season a series relevant to them.

The Project, founded by Nile Henry, aims to help young drivers who don’t have the funding to move up the Motorsport ladder.

The Blair Project: Giving hope to young drivers everywhere

Entrants are required to upload a two minute youtube video explaining why they should be chosen by the project as their next star. The videos must be submitted by June 6, with Voting open from June 9 to 27 June. You can vote through the Blair Projects Facebook page when voting opens.

Nile Blair, CEO of The Blair Project, said: “The word has spread, and we are being inundated with applicants, some of whom are as young as 10. They all have heart warming tales to tell.”

“Like the X Factor, it will be up to the public to decide who will win one of three funded driver places for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.”

The winners will be unveiled on July 1 at Old Trafford Football Stadium, the Theatre of Dreams, where celebrities and leading figures from the Motor racing world will be in attendance. Ayrton Senna’s Lotus 98T from 1986 will also be on show. Tickets are available for the event here.
